This is another great view of the Preseli ridge, set on a very quiet country road with parking available near the cache site.
Here you will see a memorial to Thomas Evan Nicholas, who used the bardic name Niclas y Glais. He was a Welsh language poet, preacher, radical, and champion of the disadvantaged of society. Although born in nearby Llanfyrnach, before he was one year old, the family moved to 'Y Llety', Pentre Galar, a 57-acre small holding on the slopes of Foel Dyrch in the Preseli Hills, near here.
Foel Dyrch stands away from the rest of the Preseli ridge and is often forgotten when discussing the Presalau Hills.
