Cemetery hides have become one of our favorite type of geocaches, and recently multicaches in cemeteries. We decided to place a cache in this cemetery to honor some military veterans. This cemetery has had several caches in it over the years, so you could probably consider this a rehide, but now a multi.
This Multi Cache will take you to a marker that is usually found in National Cemeteries. The below picture is NOT in the cemetery, but will give you a good idea of what you are seeking. As with all cemetery hides, NO NIGHT CACHING.
You will be able to park on the path close to the marker.
The marker is for a World War II veteran who was a member of the US Air Force (USAAF)
Using the marker, you will need to complete the following coordinates:
N 39 AB.CDE W 85 FG.HIJ
A = Number of letters in his first name.
B = Add all the numbers in the year of his passing minus 7.
C = Third number of the year of his passing.
D = Add all the numbers of his year of birth and subtract 9.
E = Second number of the year of his passing.
F = Number of letters in his last name plus 1.
G = Last number of the year of his passing.
H = Day of the month he was born.
I = Last number of the year he was born.
J = Last number of the day he passed.
