Marvin Gaye Trail - Trail Ranger - Geocache
The Marvin Gaye trail is named after the famous musician who was born and raised in Washington, D.C. There are numerous locations around the city paying homage to Gaye. One of the most notable landmarks on the Marvin Gaye Trail is the Marvin Gaye mosaic.
At the opposite end of the trail, Marvin Gaye Rec Center and Marvin Gaye playground are situated. Each with their own nod to the musician. The rec center with a mural and the playground with musical instruments.
The geocache is located near the halfway point of the trail, near Lederers Gardens. There you can also find the hard work of beavers who have recently returned to the stream which runs parallel to Marvin Gaye Trail.

A typical day for a Trail Ranger includes cleaning trash, clearing vegetation, and providing trail expertise for trail users. We are stocked with tools and are eager to help patch a flat, provide a quick fix, dish out maps and directions, or clear up glass and debris before it causes trouble.
