Geocache Description:

No night caching!

The trails are open from dawn to dusk only. If you think your visit may extend past 5pm, be sure to park in the lower parking area by the road, as the upper gate gets locked after 5pm. No night caching is allowed, except for the evening of our annual winter event. The grounds are patrolled by the Stark County Sherriff’s deputies and local police for your security. Be careful during the winter months as these trails get very slippery – cache at your own risk.

Please re-hide well. And message me with any problems. These aren’t meant to be difficult hides, although in areas there may be a bit of signal bounce.

The Wildlife Observation Room inside the Interpretive Building is the perfect spot to relax and watch our wildlife come to you! With multiple feeders and a beautiful water feature, there is always someone stopping in for a snack. While you enjoy the sights, you will also enjoy all of nature's sounds through our unique, outdoor microphone system which brings the birdsong indoors. TWC's Bird Club holds occasional events and programs here, so be sure to check our calendar for more details.

TWC Bird Club: Our organization was established in 1988 under the leadership of Henry Merkle. Our membership leads monthly bird walks the third Saturday of each month on The Wilderness Center trails. Other Bird Club events include day trips to surrounding areas, weekend birding trips, and our annual picnic in July. We sponsor and lead several programs during the year for adults and children alike. TWC Bird Club members also participate in the annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count and International Migratory Bird Day in the Black Swamp area of NW Ohio. Please find us on Facebook under TWC Bird Club and request to be added. For more information call 330-359-5235, or email us bird2xs@hotmail.com.
