WAUKESHA PARKS, RECREATION, AND FORESTRY
The City of Waukesha Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department currently manages 50 parks on nearly 1,147 acres. These parks provide both active and passive recreational activities for both residents and visitors alike, ranging from soccer and tennis, softball and swimming, to biking, hiking, and even geocaching!  While the maintenance crews work hard to keep them clean and maintained, they can’t be everywhere, and can use a little bit of help from park visitors!

YOU CAN HELP
Helping out is easy! Some easy ways you can help keep our parks clean and beautiful include:

  • Please do not litter.
  • Use the trash cans where located in parks.
  • Take only memories, leave only footprints.
  • Practice pack it in, pack it out. If you bring something with you, take it with you when you leave. That includes food scraps and cigarette butts!
  • Better yet, practice Cache In, Trash Out (CITO).  CITO is an ongoing environmental initiative supported by geocachers that can happen on every geocaching adventure! Pick up trash that you see on the trail. Clean up the area around each geocache. These small acts make a huge difference.
