This cache is both a tribute to the CO of my very first find and to the first find itself. Local long-time cachers may remember the infamous marytreenut or sometimes under the mike/marytreenut moniker for hides with her husband, Mike. She was an awesome CO with a feisty personality who hid many of the caches that I found when I was starting out way back in 2006!
This location is close to where I found that very first cache. The one that hooked me on this game we all love. It was called 'Movie or Ice Cream?' as the shopping center once housed a movie rental establishment and an ice cream shop.
The businesses may be different these days but the spirit of the hide and the memory of Mary lives on. :)
