Geocache Description:

General Info

All the questions for this cache are based on the TV series "Breaking Bad" by Vince Gilligan. The series even got an entry into the Guinness World Records as the most critically acclaimed TV series and and has won many awards including a few Emmys and Golden Globes.

The pilot episode was aired in 2008 and there were a total of 62 episodes until the finale in 2013, a feature movie and a spin-off series called "Better Call Saul".

About the Cache

Since many of the questions relate to later episodes in the series, please be warned: Spoilers ahead!!! If you haven't watched all episodes already, forget about the FTF or the Smiley and watch it first - it's well worth it!

To eliminate errors during calculations, I've decided to just use the geochecker and provide the Final coordinates there.

Part 1: Simpsonized Characters

Name the characters shown in the pictures below. For the answers, use only the first name and not the aliases (e.g. Spiderman would be "Peter"). The answer is always only 1 word and there are no special characters like é or something. There is 1 character, where you have to use the alias, since the real name is not known.

Part 2: Timelines

In the timelines below, you need to match the event described in relation to all the other events. For reference, there is always 1 event shown in the middle to help you. If you have all of them in the correct order, just use the letters at the beginning and write them all in one big nonsenseword - this will be the answer for the geochecker. For example: If the events below were in the perfect order, you would have to write ABCDEFGHIJKL as the answer in the geocecker.

Timeline 1:

A: Walt throws a pizza onto his roof

B: Hank finds out Walt is Heisenberg

C: Jesse travels to Mexico to cook for the cartel

D: Hank is attacked by the Cousins

E: Walt freaks out in the crawl space

F: Walt and Jesse meet Saul

G: Wayfarer 515 crash

H: Walt, Jesse, and Todd rob a train

I: Hank and Gomez die

J: Walt saves Jesse from Jack's gang

K: Walt is diagnosed with lung cancer

L: Walt and Jesse are kidnapped by Tuco

Timeline 2 - Who died first?:

A: Drew Sharp

B: Walter White

C: Tuco Salamanca

D: Hank Schrader

E: Emilio Koyama

F: Gustavo Fring

G: Mike Ehrmentraut

H: Jane Margolis

I: Leonel Salamanca

J: Victor

K: Gale Boetticher

L: Todd Alquist

Part 3: Who wants to be a Millionaire?

Play the following game and answer all 15 questions correctly. The input for the Geochecker is the letter at the right answer for each question from 1 to 15 - so it will look something like this: ADABCCDBACDBBCD

Part 4: Famous Last Words

Match the last words before their death with the character and get the answer for the geochecker. As before, just write down the letters next to the characters in the order of the famous last words. For example: If "Unlock me, Walt." was said by "Gus Fring" right before his death, the first letter would be C.

After completing all 4 parts, you will get the coordinates for the next part in the geochecker. To be prepared, take a look at the attributes and have fun.

Easter Eggs and Fun Trivia

And now, for a little fun: Here are some easter eggs/hidden clues/... inside Breaking Bad:

The serial number on those barrels 00892-B can be read as a hexadecimal RGB code, and #00 89 2B is the signature Breaking Bad green color.

The pink teddy bear is seen in flashforwards during four episodes, the titles of which, when put together in order, form the sentence

"Seven Thirty-Seven Down Over ABQ".

In the very first episode, Walt loses his beige pants in the desert in an iconic scene, where he only wears his cooking gear and a gas mask in the desert. In one of the final episodes, the same pants reappear, when Walt rolls this barrel through the desert.

The name of Breaking Bad's series finale, "Felina," is an easter egg in itself:

"Feleena" is the name of the song that plays at the start of the episode, which is about a man who dies because his love is too intense. On the periodic table, Fe Li Na translates to iron, lithium, and sodium — or blood, meth, and tears. On top of everything else, it's also just an anagram for "finale."
