Welcome to Washington State's new version of the Fifteen Wherigo. This wherigo is part of the West Seattle Needful Things series. The cache is not at the posted coordinates but it is located within Lincoln Park. This wherigo cartridge was originally created by Rusty O Junk in New York as a "Play Anywhere" cartridge. You can download and play this cartridge anywhere you want and get the coordinates to the final cache location here in West Seattle or for any state that you select upon starting the game. You will need a Wherigo-compatible device to play the cartridge and a fairly clear area with at least 200 feet of room so you can move about freely. You will be starting the game in the center of the space, and the grid will develop around you. Also suggested is paper and a pencil to keep track as you play along with the puzzle. You can print out a grid from the gallery. When all 9 tasks are completed, you will be given the coordinates to the final location for the state you chose at the beginning. Your estimated game play time of 15-60 minutes depends on whether you've already figured out the simple puzzle and whether you've left yourself enough room to maneuver or have to restart the game in a bigger location. There is plenty of room to play here at the posted coordinates, though you don't have to play it here. If the playing field is in use, there are several other large areas in Lincoln Park with open areas and trails. Go to Map in the Menu to see the layout of your field of play.
How to Play:
Select Washington at the beginning to get the correct coordinates for this cache. The playing field has been divided into 9 squares arranged in a 3 X 3 grid. There are 9 number items in the game numbered 1 through 9. At the beginning of your gameplay, two (2) of the numbers are already locked into the grid (though not yet visible) and cannot be moved. The other 7 numbers are in your inventory. Your task is to go to each square and place the correct number into the correct square in the grid. The object is to get the numbers in each row and column vertically, horizontally and diagonally to equal the same total. Once you do that, you receive the coordinates to the final cache location. If needed, instructions are in the cartridge under TASKS in the main screen.
