To launch our GeoTour with some fanfare (sort to speak) we are holding a WSGA event here in Renton in a park that I am pretty sure that we have never had an event at before. Philip Arnold Park has some nice views of Seattle and is sort of a hidden park that's definitely off the beaten path. Its a good location for our event. Here's the event specifics:
When: 10:30 AM - 12:00 10/29/22
Where: Philip Arnold Park - Under the picnic shelter (Bring your own chair as no picnic tables are available)
Why: Uh, to help kick off our GeoTour?
Parking is available on both sides of the park. Doesn't matter if you come from the back side, or from the 405 side. The parks department has removed the picnic tables for the season, so bring your own chair if you want to sit down at the event. If you would rather cache, there are two in the park and several just outside of the park.
We have a limited number of GeoTour passports available for the Puget Sound Chapter (since the event is in the Puget Sound Chapter) during the event. All passports can be downloaded via this hyperlink:
WSGA GeoTour
Passports can be downloaded now via the geotour page on our website. The passports will only provide the GC#s as well as the geocache names. We suggest that you print your own passport prior to the event so that you can be ready when the geotour caches drop.
We will have a few limited items from our store to sell at this event, including a very limited edition event only coin to purchase. We will only be able to accept card transactions only. Speaking of coins, premium members will be able to pick up their 2022 premium member coin which celebrates our 20th anniversary.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!
