Geocache Description:

10 September 2022, 11:00 - 13:00

Welcome to the monthly GGA meeting!

Located close to I-95 south of Savannah on the banks of the Ogeechee River, this scenic park showcases the best-preserved earthwork fortification of the Confederacy. The earthworks were attacked seven times by Union ironclads but did not fall until 1864ending General William T. Shermans March to the Sea.

Not only does Fort McAllister have quite some history but there are many trails to explore, camping, birding, fishing, and geocaching of course.

Did you know that April and September are months when snakes are most active?

Some education about venomous and non-venomous snakes might help you with your geocaching.

September 10 is also "Swap Ideas Day"!

What a great opportunity to swap ideas  with your fellow geocachers!

We will meet at Picnic shelter #2

There is a $5 admission charge to the park unless you have a park pass

We will have a drawing for door prizes

There will be snacks and water

Come and enjoy the camraderie of your fellow geocachers and meet new cachers, trade ideas, and swap stories. Who can tell the best snake story?
