Allan Church Hall

The Allan Church (originally the Bannockburn Parish Church) was built in 1838 to the design of the architect John Henderson. At the time, the parish had a population of 3176 people, and local industries included carpet, shawl and tartan manufacture and coal mining. Allan Church Hall hosts a variety of community groups/clubs such as for pilates.

The exterior of the hall is very well looked after, with flower boxes and well weeded spaces around the building. The maintenance of the Hall (and Church) is carried out by a small collection of volunteers who are known to Church members as 'The Gnomes'. They are; Dougie, George, Robert, Phillip and of course, Colin.

The Gnomes even gave their own web site where you can read about their adventures: https://www.allanchurch.org/gnome-report-updates.html

The Puzzle

This cache is number 1314 in this national cache series, and where better to have it than Bannockburn? 1314....the year of the Battle of Bannockburn.

The cache can be found at N 56° 5.ABC' W 3° 56.DEF'

You can find the missing numbers by answering a few questions and then collecting info at the Church Hall.

Northerly Coordinates - You can solve these at home

A - Buddist third digit

B - Bengali last digit

C - Korean third digit

Westerly Coordinates - You can solve these by visiting Allan Church

All positional questions are as if viewing the hall from Main Street

D – There's a big green gas box on the side of the building on the Main Street side. On the sticker on the box (starting "Manufactured by...), look at the bottom line of writing , how many times does the letter 'p' appear?

E – From the stone gate pillar on the far left, count al the spikey railings, what's the number of the first one with no top?

F – The metal gate on the left has some 'S' designs at its top. How many?

If you add up all the missing digits then you should get 25. There is also a solution checker below that gives locations for parking near the cache.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
