Geocache Description:

15 May 2022, 14:00 - 14:30

It's a GCCO Travel Bug Race!

We are going to have a nice little event in the springs to kick off the race for this year.  We hope to see lots of you here at the event and hopefully lots of you sending off some trackables at the event.  If you do not have a trackable we will have some racing tags for sale at the event.

The race is open to any Colorado cacher who wants to play. Bring or Register a trackable with zero (none, Īe, nada, Bù, zip, zilch, NO) miles on it to a kick-off event on May 15th to send it OFF TO THE RACES.

Mileage status will be confirmed by a GCCO representative before your trackable is released. The rules are:

1. You may enter any two types of trackables you wish per account. Travel bugs, coins, or TB codes on anything are eligible. Anyone with a Geocaching account is eligible to participate. You will activate and own your own trackable. Have fun!

2. Your trackable must have zero miles on May 15, 2022 and no back logging is allowed. You may enter the race at anytime between May 15th and May 21st! Late entries must still have zero miles on it at the time it is entered.

3. You may not move your own or your immediate family member's trackables. You may move any other racer's trackables.

4. You may not mail or virtual move your trackable. Note: The Find Signal the Frog® - Locationless in 2020 or Let’s improve the outdoors - Locationless Cache would be virtual moves. If your racer gets dropped or dipped into a Locationless cache, you will need to delete those logs. The trackable must be moved in the possession of a Geocacher at all times. That means you cannot give it to your muggle relatives or friends to take it on vacation with them. They will have to make a Geocaching account!

5. Improperly dipped trackables will be requested to have their logs fixed by the owner. This can happen if people do not log their finds in order. We will notify you if we are made aware of this. Failure to fix the issue can result in disqualification.

6. No proxy re-entries are allowed. If any of your original entries go missing, then their race is finished. As a result, all entries must have a photo uploaded of the TB as it will appear before the start of the race. Entries submitted to Geocaching Colorado without a photo will not be added to the race.

7. There are no size or tagging requirements on your physical trackable. It would be helpful to mention that your trackable is in this race and include a link to this cache on your trackable page description. However, there are no trackable page requirements and we leave that up to you.

8. The race ends October 1st and th winners of the race will be annouced shortly after this date.

Do not forget this is supposed to be a fun and light hearted competition. Anyone not playing by the rules will simply be removed. Please ask if you have any questions!

Participation in the race is not required to attend the event.  Please show up and have a fun time as well!
