Welcome to the Snail Trails, GEO-ART in the area of Sabile and Abava valley! Why snail? Because Sabile has vineyard that is full of winesnails, also known as escargots. On top of that, winesnail is depicted in the coat of arms of Abava parish. And snail just looks good on the map! 🐌
Take your time, no rush, and enjoy geocaching!
Travelling is fun. Combination of travelling and geocaching is even more fun! I have been lucky to find geocaches nearby and far away, in the North and in the South. Therefore I challenge you to join the traveller's club!
To meet this challenge, you must have found geocaches that are in least 4300km distance from each other - this equals to the distance from the Northernmost to the Southernmost points of Europe. Polar lights in Norway and sunbathing in Punta de Tarifa in Spain will be perfect combination.
Locationless (reverse) cache type is excluded!
My most distant North-South caches are here (14 April 2022):
The cache itself IS at the posted coordinates. To log your find, use the checker to prove that you qualify for the challenge. You are welcome to sign the logbook earlier, post a 'write note' log now and register as 'found it' any time later when challenge is completed.
P.S. You will find bonus numbers on a few logbooks on the Snail trails - save them for bonus caches!
