국립한글박물관은 우리 민족 최고의 문화유산인 한글의 문자적 · 문화적 가치를 창출하고 널리 알리기 위해 2014년 10월 9일 문을 열었습니다.
국립한글박물관은 한글에 대한 이해를 넓히고 한글과 다양한 분야의 융합을 실험하는 전시 공간인 동시에 어린이들이 한글의 원리를 쉽게 체험하고, 한글을 익히고 싶은 외국인들이 한글을 배울 수 있는 한글문화의 놀이터입니다.
국립한글박물관은 국내외 흩어져 있는 한글 자료를 조사 · 수집 · 연구하고 한글의 문화적 다양성과 미래 가치를 전시를 통해 보여주며, 세대와 국적을 넘어 소통과 공감을 지향하는 한글 교육으로 한글문화를 꽃피우는 곳입니다.
국립한글박물관은 전시관 외에도 한글도서관과 휴게 공간, 그리고 용산가족공원으로 이어지는 아름다운 정원이 있는 복합 문화공간입니다.

박물관의 모든 공간은 금연 구역입니다.
전시실에 들어가기 전에 휴대 전화는 진동으로 전환하여 다른 관람자를 방해하지 않도록 협조해 주시기 바랍니다.
전시실에서는 플래시/삼각대를 이용한 촬영이나 상업적 용도의 촬영은 불가능합니다.
전시실 안으로 음식물을 반입할 수 없으며 안내견 이외의 애완/반려 동물은 출입할 수 없습니다.
박물관 내 시설과 주변에서는 안전을 위해 바퀴달린 신발, 전동차, 퀵보드를 이용할 수 없습니다. 함께 이용하는 다른 관람객들을 위한 배려를 바랍니다.

The National Hangeul Museum opened on October 9, 2014 in order to promote the linguistic and cultural value of Hangeul, the most reasured heritage of Korea.
It is an exhibition space dedicated to expanding our understanding of Hangeul and experimenting with the convergence of Hangeul and various other fields.
The NHM is also a playground where children can explore the principles of Hangeul, and an enjoyable place offering diverse educational opportunities for people of all ages and nationalities, with a strong emphasis on communication and empathy.
At the same time, the museum acts as an advanced research facility that collects and analyzes Hangeul data from Korea and abroad, which then serves as the foundation of exhibitions that proclaim the cultural diversity and future value of Hangeul.
The NHM is an inclusive cultural space with exhibition halls, Hangeul library, auditorium, rest areas, and a beautiful garden leading to Yongsan Family Park.
In sum, the National Hangeul Museum is a garden where Hangeul culture blooms.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the Museum.

The Museum permits photography for noncommercial use only in the exhibitions. The use of flash or tripods is not allowed.
Food or pets (except service animals) are not permitted in the exhibitions.
