The platinum way used to be a gemstone cycleway being called the emerald Way. In 2007 Buckinghamshire county council received funding to create a network of gemstone cycleways in the town. In 2021 the emerald Way had a planed upgrade which changed the route to go to the Waddesdon Greenway. If you would like you can use our cache series to join with the nicksters caches on the greenway. In May 2022 the current Buckinghamshire council decided to rename the emerald Way to the platinum way to celebrate the queen’s platinum jubilee celebrations in June 2022.
