Just hike the trail!
The Big Ferry Trail is a great trail to hike or bike (the only trail you can bike at Skidaway Island SP). Bring along a snack and water since it can be a bit lengthy. Along the way you will find some very interesting history and views.
Skidaway Island State Park is one of Georgia's premier state parks, well maintained and with an exciting array of monthly programs. Camping, hiking, and learning about nature and history is always enticing.
While you are at it, why not geocache. You can find quite a few here at SISP.
