Dixon Park is a popular park for children and adults alike.
There are beautiful established trees, a band rotunda and playground for the kids, this park provides a great spot for some relaxing and playing. There is also a stage for outdoor performances.
The War Memorial gates at the Tainui St entrance to the park were originally sited at the entrance to Grey Main School but were controversially ripped out under cover of darkness and with the help of then mayor, Tony Kokshoorn and others the damaged remains were found and after repairs erected at the Southern corner of the park.
Sawyers Creek runs along the boundary of the park, it is not fenced so please be extra vigilant if you have small children.
There is no room in the cache for trackables and you will need to bring your own pen.
