This series of caches has nothing to do with the Church Micro series in the U.K
Given that the Australian Census indicates that No Religion and Jedi Knight s are the fastest increasing classification of the optional religion question "What is the person's religion?"
It is not surprising that there is a surfeit of empty Churches that have been repurposed.
Coobowie:The Former Methodist Church was built in 1876 and listed on the Y.P Heritage Survey of 1997.{Y.P :057}
The Chapel was built by Mr Bartram Snr and his son John Bartram.
Opening service was held on Christmas Day 1876 by Rev.T M Rowe.
First to be married were Mr Woods and Miss Rattley.
During the Jubilee year a move was made to build a school and social hall
During 1936 a hall was opened by Rev G.C Hutchinson on 31st July
.The Church is Of interest to me personally as my Great Grand parents attended the Jubliee and my paternal Grandparents were married in the church and my father and his siblings attended sunday school.
The Church is now closed and used as a holiday home.
You are looking for a small container with log and pencil.which will be replaced with a micro when returning to Coobowie hopefully before xmas.
Final is approx 1-2 km from Church due to the no of other caches in area..
Plenty of room to park .
Beware in summer snakes maybe around.
