Caution must be used while attempting this multi-cache as muggles will be everywhere.
This location is a popular destination and very busy during the summer months. It has beautiful scenery and many things to do. It can be reached by car or boat. This multi cache is available year round.
On February 27, 2013, TV show Ghost Hunters traveled to Sylvan Beach, NY Amusement Park, located on Oneida Lake to investigate paranormal activity. (“Scream Park” season 9 episode 7, 43 minutes long.)
Some interesting history about this location: The amusement park opened in 1879. Over the years visitors and park employees have reported strange encounters with ghosts and other paranormal activity.
Three employees tragically died while working at the amusement park many years ago. Their ghosts have been seen roaming throughout the park to this day:
Abby, “The Lady in White”, died in a fire that broke out in the 1900s in the Yesterday's Royal Hotel and Restaurant where she worked for many years. Abby’s ghost has been seen at the Hotel and riding on the “Tip Top” amusement ride which you will be very close to while completing this cache.
Scotty was a maintenance worker who died while working at the Playland building. You will be able to see this building along the way.
Jack was a game attendant that lived in Yesterday's Royal Hotel and was found dead in his room, cause unknown. The Hotel is no longer open for business.
