Visiting German couple jebjeb will soon be leaving our shores. This cache is a (hopefully!) permanent reminder of their time here with us and their geocaching achievements in Australia.
Team jebjeb is comprised of Heike and Jo who hail from the Black Forest in Southwest Germany. They have been caching since 2010, but were predominantly weekend cachers until this trip to Australia.
They arrived here in early 2020. I'm not sure what their original plans were, but Covid intervened, and the visit turned into a geocaching ultramarathon. They have many incredible statistics. They are the #2 finder of Australian LGAs (510 out of a possible 544) and #1 finder of Australian Challenge Caches (699 finds). Possibly most consecutive nights in a campervan too. I will try to share more with you with their permission later.
We will miss their faces at our events and CITOs, and miss seeing their names in logs when we travel interstate. We wish Heike and Jo a safe trip home and many many more finds in Europe (the number of countries that you could drive to within 3 hours from the Black Forest makes me want to cry).
