El Panecillo is a small hill located in the center of Quito, on which a monument of the Virgin Mary is located, visible from much of the city. It is the tallest aluminum sculpture in the world at 30 meters high. Additionally, the place is just over 3,000 meters above sea level.
To enter the monument you must pay $ 1 and climb the stairs until you reach the base of the monument and its balcony from which you can see almost the entire city.
