This GeoArt is to celebrate Missouri turning 200 years old this year.  What better way to celebrate the Bicentennial!! 

MISSOURI BECOMES THE 24TH STATE ADMITTED INTO THE UNITED STATES AUGUST 10, 1821.

You will learn about some famous Missourian's while solving this GeoArt.

Kathleen Turner was born in Springfield and attended college there at Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State).But it didn’t take long for the rest of the country to become familiar with her talent and memorable voice.The actress first hit the scene in the 1980s, with roles in “Romancing the Stone” and “Prizzi’s Honor,” both of which earned her Golden Globe Awards.She was later nominated for an Academy Award for 1986’s “Peggy Sue Got Married.” Her most memorable voice acting role was as Jessica Rabbit in “Who Framed Roger Rabbit.”

Sultry stage and screen actress Kathleen Turner, best known for her energetic and seductive roles, was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in 1992. Ever since, the two-time Golden Globe winner and Academy Award-nominee has been outspoken about RA in the hopes of helping others.
