La croce si trova sulla piccola elevazione rocciosa del Pizzo, a quota 1574 metri, e domina il paese di Ovindoli. Un punto panoramico a 360° tra i più belli d’Abruzzo dove si può ammirare, oltre il il centro del paese sottostante, le tante vette circostanti.
Per raggiungere l'inizio del sentiero prendere come punto di riferimento l'Hotel Millepini e poi proseguire per circa 200 m. Qui si trova uno slargo.
Poco più avanti parte il sentiero, non segnato sulla cartina del Geocaching, ma molto ben segnalato in loco.
Seguire il sentiero 11D, che si snoda in salita lungo una fitta pineta.
Un volta arrivati sulla cima, seguire sempre il sentiero 11D verso Pizzo d'Ovindoli (svoltare a. destra).
Il cartello dice 15 minuti da qui per la croce. In effetti, pur essendo ormai la croce molto vicina, la via qui è un pochino più difficoltosa. Seguire sempre il sentiero (cottradistinto dai colori bianco rosso).
Dopo unn'ultima breve salita la croce sarà a vista.
Il peercorso qui è meraviglioso con viste mozzafiato tutto intorno.
La cache è nascosta dietro alla croce, tra le pietre.
Tornare indietro tramite il medesimo sentiero.
Si consigliano scarpe da trekking.
