I have wanted to see The Shoe Tree for years and am now excited to share it with you. If you like, you can bring shoes to put on the tree. There are nails and hammers provided in the mailbox. Be sure and sign the geocaching log as well as The Shoe Tree log.
Never fear, this is a difficulty level 2 cache because of the spoiler photo. If you want more difficulty, just don't look at the photos.
A very short time after I published this cache, two of the large limbs of the tree fell to the ground. I called Jerry Kissel, son of John Kissel, who started the shoe tree, and Jerry said that they keeping the tree as it is and people are still coming to see the tree. The tree really shows its age and the fact that is has been having people put shoes on it for a very long time.
