This area has a sign that Welcomes the public and asks for foot traffic only with no motor vehicles permitted beyond the gate area checkin point. The Bison Herd is located to the north of Butcher Road back in the hills to the north. It is also reported that the Prarie Rattlesnake lives in this grassland area.
