This cache is a simple 2 stage multi cache. The terrain rating will vary based on the time of the year. When the Campground is open your can do the entire multi cache from the comfort of your car (all except the last 20 - 30 feet). However, when the campground is closed, your journey on foot, bike, or snowmobile will be closer to 3 miles round trip. I have rated the terrain for the months of the year when the campground is open.
The posted coordinates are for stage 1. At stage 1 you will meet Yogi Bear. He is visiting for the season having been chased out of Jellystone Park by Ranger Smith. He has traveled to Bear Brook in hopes of finding greener pastures for him and his companion Boo Boo to explorer. Based on his location, I think he is settling in quite well.
To find the final, you will need to properly ID the item that Yogi has in his hands. If you attempt this cache when the campground is closed, you may find that Yogi is “Under Wraps” so to speak. Fear not, with a little web surfing on the State Parks website you will be able to see Yogi and what he is holding very easily.
