Old Trenear Road was put out of commission quite a few years ago and the new one built to the east. The old road is now used for four wheelers, dog walking, those wantiing to torture themselves doing elevation walks and so let's add geocachers to the list.
You might be familiar with the area after hearing about it in March 2019 when the NEW road decided to collapse due to a washout during spring thaw. The elevation of the road has now been raised to hopefully eliminate this issue. I've (with luck) attached some pics so you can see the damage. Kudos to Cramahe Township tho for getting it fixed so fast. I think it was reopened within a month's time. Interestingly enough, and you'll see for yourself, old Trenear Road has stayed in pretty good condition and great for walking and heavy breathing.
The terrain rating is based around GZ not the getting there and back. That being said, its a good climb on the old road but its paved 
 Breathtaking could be the view or your condition on the way back. hahahhaha Good news, its a relatively quiet area so you should have lots of time to search and stand and ponder and think hmmm where would she have put it 
I'm also going to strongly suggest parking at the top or bottom of the old road (parking cords given) just for safety sake instead of parking on the new road. ThanksÂ
