The Slocan Valley Rail Trail offers 50 kilometers of Adventure as it winds gently through one of the most beautiful river valleys in British Columbia. It offers easy non-motorized access to breathtaking scenery as it follows the contours of the Slocan River. The trail makes its way from Slocan Lake in the north, towards the Kootenay River in the south, with multiple entry and exit areas.
This section of the trail has always been our favoite and it seems we are not alone.
The following is a description from the Web Site:
"North of Crescent Valley at about km 7 the valley closes in and the trail hugs the river. This is one of the most scenic, secluded stretches of the trail as it passes below the historic Kosiancic farm with amazing views of the valley, river channels and numerous islands.
It's a great area for a Spring hike, and since most of the locals have found the caches we decided rather than refurbishing our caches that needed attention (or they were nowhere to be found so that we could do maintenance) we decided to place a new series.
You are looking for a very small lock n' lock hidden just off the trail.
