Located in Valley Falls Park in Vernon - location of the 10/6/02 Geocachers BBQ.
You've been to weddings where you get to keep some momento of the occasion. Well I didn't want to see my fellow geocachers go away from the BBQ empty handed. Actually these favors were inspired and designed by Gator Man. Further design and fabrication was done by the Michaud Gang. Even more input and fabrication effort was given by MtnBiler Kev.
The favors (is that how you spell it?) are located in an ammo box about 1/3 of a mile from the eats. Turns out the Michaud Gang recently hid a cache in the same general area. Take the yellow trail to theirs, go past theirs a little ways and switch back onto the red trail to pick up your trinket and return for more eats. Stay on the trails - no reason to bushwack at all.
The can is in a clump of ferns - or at least it will be when I place it Saturday night. The cache will be removed after the picnic. I'll leave the cache active for a week so everyone can log their find here as well as on the BBQ cache page.
Don't step on my ferns - they make a nice hiding spot as long as they are standing.
As intended, the cache was removed after the BBQ.
