Every year we try to go to Vermont to see family members. Sometimes we ski, but during the summer we like to hike trails, climb mountains, and swim and kayak in the local lakes and rivers. We head into Vermont on Route 7 and while we look for all our favorite landmarks, the one that draws the most attention is the Walloomsac Inn. It attracts much public attention due primarily to its prominent location and unkempt appearance. It is one of the most historic buildings in the picturesque village of Old Bennington.
When you see it, you will be amazed that it operated until around 1996, when the property closed for good and since then, it has sadly continued its decline.
