Geocache Description:

The third in a series of caches I am placing in Bureau County, Illinois. My hope is to get residents and non-residents alike to explore Bureau County.

In 1859 the North Prairie Baptist Church was organized. The church was built in 1865 at a cost of $1,200. The surrounding cemetery was named The North Prairie Baptist Cemetery and later became Heatons Point Cemetery. The name came from the Heaton families who setteled in the area at the head of the timber.

This is a regular size cache with plenty of room for travel bugs and geoswag. You will need to bring your own pen or pencil with you to sign the log. Cemetery hours are sunrise to sunset. Please be respectful of those that are layed to rest here.

Please DO NOT post phhotos or comments in the log describing the cache or where to find it. Please let the next finder have the same fun you did. First to find has bragging rights for the life of the cache!

Happy Hunting!

Congratulations to Georats (bdss_29 and hawg_hunter55)  for the FTF!
