The 36-mile Albany-Hudson Electric Trail, which runs from the City of Hudson to the City of Rensselaer, officially opened on December 30, 2020. This segment starts near the Stuvesant Falls, which used to power the trolley line in the early 20th century, and heads south past woods, streams, wetlands, and farm lands. The stonedust surface is stroller- and bike-friendly.
In this area the ground falls and rises quite dramatically around the trail, but the trail's own slope remains gentle. Per AHET rules, please do not use the trail at night.
Please note that the dead end road leading to the cache is for use by local residents only, so this is not a park and grab cache.
