Szülővárosom egyik ikonikus jelképe a Víztorony, mely messziről tündököl a horizonton.
Szerepe nem csak a város vízellátása, hanem egyfajta gyülekezőhelyként is funcionál évtizedek óta. A város szívében található építmény több fontos helyszínnel csoportosul egy helyen, mint például: A Piac tér, hétköznap és hétvégén találkozások helyszíne, csütörtökön és szombaton pedig az árusoké és helyi termelőké. Közvetlen a téren található a Blint Ágnes Kulturális Központ is, mely nevében hordozza funkcionalitását, helyszínt biztosítva helyi egyesületek összejövetelének, tánccsoportok próbáinak, színházi előadásoknak és koncerteknek is. Ebben az épületben található a városi Róder Imre Könyvtár is. A Városháza épülete is itt található, mely előtti parkban több emlékmű is helyt kapott.

One of the most iconic buliding in my hometown is the water-tower, which can be seen on the horison from far.
Its role isn't just to provide runningwater for the town, but it has a function for assembling for decades. This emblematic buliding is in the heart of the town with many other important places, e.g.: the market-place square, which is a good place to get together during the week and on weekends as well, and it also serves place for the marketeers on thursday and satruday. Right at the square can be found the Bálint Ágnes Cultural Center, which is home for many organizations for meetings, or theatre plays and concerts are held in here as well. The Róder Imre Town Library is also in this house. The Townhall is also at this place, with its beautiful park with many memorials in it.
