The information sign next to the canal here is full of interesting facts, claiming that Barnton is England's largest village, I'm a bit surprised as I never knew that, and I'm sure other places claim that honour as well. In fact, after looking it up, found it wasn't even listed in the many contenders for the title.....
This cache is not an easy grab along the towpath and might not be for everyone, it is simple and easy to reach by boat, but for most it will be much harder so read the Geocaching disclaimer and only attempt at your own risk if you feel comfortable, and please replace it where its difficult to get to and reflects the rating, and try not to drop it or the logsheet in the water.... it's a bit difficult to be stealthy here, so just pick your moment and go for it!
