Located in Nauvoo State Park, this cache is in replacement to the "City Beautiful" cache that had been placed without permission and the DNR had Confiscated it.
After the cache come up missing, It has now been replaced. The Coordinants have been updated as well. The trails have been cleaned out and looking real good. I have not been through all the trails but the one I usually use to get into the woods are pretty clean. The island is at the bottom of the hill of the cache. There used to be a bridge that went accross the water to get on the island but it has been removed at least 20 years ago.
Enter on Page Street For the narrow, hilly path, or White Street for the wider, easier path. Close parking lots are limited to the nearby church lot for White street entrance or the restraunt lot on Page Street. It is best to use thse lots so that you dont block driveways. Streets are pretty narrow here.
