You'll have an easy time finding this one just off the beaten path if you rooting around between some rocks and a hard place. An "easy find" means it's also easy to be left nicely set up for the next person. Thank you!
This cache is a part of a fourteen-part series entitled "Ghost Hunt: The Hall-Mills Double Homicide." This series draws attention to historical locations tied to the real-life persons who were trapped in one of the most infamous unsolved crimes in the 20th century. The key suspects in the case were the widowed Frances Noel Stevens Hall, and her older brothers, Willie and Henry Stevens. They were the children of a veteran of the battlefield upon which you are now standing: Francis Kerby Hall, 2nd Lieutenant, 1st New York Volunteer Infantry. He returned to this spot at least once in his life, and this cache serves as a memorial to both Francis' personal journey and to the end of slavery in the United States.
