Sir Barney is working on his Geocaching badge for Dog Scouts. One of the requirements is to hide a cache. Willmore Park is one of his favorite places. It was the last major park to be devloped in the City of St. Louis (1947). It is 70 acres and and contains 2 lakes (available for fishing), a soccer field, several ballparks, a tennis court, disc golf course and a members only dog park. There are also several pavillions and a playground for kids.
Parking is available in several lots in the park or along the street. The cache, itself, should be fairly eay to find. You may need a TOTT to get the log out but probably not. It is a container I saw one day and immediately thought about using it for a cache.
Please respect park hours, 6 am - 10 pm daily.
NOTE: Cache container has been changed. Should still be fairly easy to find.
NOTICE: Please be respectful of the posted hours for this park. If you enter the park after hours you are trespassing. If you are stopped you can be ticketed, or arrested and will put the future of geocaching in jeopardy.
