The park is named after Loreta Huskey, a women deeply devoted to her family. She and her six siblings grew up in Meridian on the 120-acre ranch at this site where Reta was like a second mother to her brothers and sisters. Reta’s brother, Leonard, used to duck hunt along the nearby drainage ditch. It was his idea to name this park after his sister who loved to grow roses and geraniums.
The cache is in the SE corner of the park along the Five Mile Trail (paved path). Please carefully replace the cache.
