Nothing Better To Do - Day 97
What are you going to do when you have nothing better to do? Go geocaching of course.
We decided to go on a streak of placing caches while we had nothing better to do, until we had something better to do.
3 Months later.... 3 MONTHS LATER.... We're still at it.
We've been looking at placing some caches in the neighborhood, and today was Day 97 of doing so. I never imagined needing this many containers... recycled ones, purchased ones, repurposed ones. When you start judging your shopping purchases on their future use as a cache container... you know you're not thinking right.
We figured we'd set up some sort of neighborhood power trail and have been setting them as close to .1 mile from each other. We started switching sides of the road each cache so you can go out one way and back the other no matter where you start, this lasted the first 20 days in our neighborhood. Then we decided to just do a big loop around the neighborhood. That got us to 32. Now we're going to just start wandering around other neighborhoods too. That got us to Day 47. Now we're exploring other parts of the area and nice walking trails we've felt could use a cache or two. We kind of filled up Vallejo's trails, and started working on Benicia and American Canyon too now. I've been researching trails and places by satellite, I feel I know my neighborhood pretty well from space now, and probably yours too.
We'll keep going until we get something better to do...
