Geocache Description:

*** GPS SIGNAL IS POOR ***

Use the cryptic clue to help you, but it's down the drive and it's a sneaky one.
Once you've found it I hope it raises a smile.

-------------------------

A countryside loop of around 4 miles following footpaths across fields.
This was a series, but after a review of all the caches over the last few weeks, a few logs had become a wet mush, so it made sense to just make it a traditional loop of caches.

I've lived nearby for nearly 30 years but never bothered to dog walk across these fields, however the Covid-19 pandemic forced me to find more local routes, and what a great route this is.
It made me realise we don't have to travel far to enjoy the countryside, especially when it's right on our doorstep.
For the most part the footpath is clear, however it gets narrow and tricky due to nettles between the 1st and 2nd cache in the loop. Sadly a few wobbly styles, so take care.

The first one in the loop is alongside a gate next to a property, so extreme caution and stealth needed to avoid suspision.

You will need to bring a pen and paper to record in log, some of the logs are rolled up, so tweezers or something to tease the log out of their containers would be helpful.
Please replace the cache in the exact same way that you found it, for obvious reasons.
Some of the footpaths cross the field in a straight line, however to avoid trampling crops walk around the edge of the fields.

** This one requires comfidence to actually get to the cache, as it looks so wrong walking this way. However there is a footpath sign by the road/pavement, so don't be too scared as you'll get there, trust me. .....

** If the dog is behind the gate at the property be careful with young children as it's a barky, jumpy dog (called Bonnie) who's very excitable and obviously protecting it's yard. I've seen it when it's calm and spent time chatting to the property owner, who quiet rightly doesn't like folk feeding the animals in the field. I'll warn you that Bonnie will chase down to the bottom of the garden and another woof at you, again she's behind a fence but it might scare the youngsters.
Don't let the above put you off finding this cache, it's safe, but adds a little spark to experience.

** Keep dogs on leads, as there a holes in the fencing to the paddocks, and the owner will berate you if you haven't.
