The Series

Fifty Foragers

Several years ago we placed a series called Ferry Foragers at the other end of West Row.  That has long since been retired, but in this period of COVID lockdown, we have recently spent more time cycling the tracks on the outskirts of the village.  For the first time in a long while, this has included cycling Weston Ditch, 'the Fifty', the 'Gravel' and back home.  Two of the Blayfords have taken part in placing these caches, they are a blend of containers and difficulty, I hope that they provide some pleasant caching for people.

The Cache

Fifty Foragers #1 - Weston Ditch

This relatively straightforward hide is located along what most locals call Weston Ditch, but for some reason the road signs now call Cow and Sheep Drove.  It is not that far away from 'Rural email' which has been placed by georower - it was us finding this on our recent bike ride that inspired us to place some further caches again - so thanks georower.

Whilst you may be tempted to think that you may not even need to get out of your car to get this, I am afraid to say that unless you have Inspector Gadget arms you will.  It is within easy reach from standing, this cache is hidden from view but by no means hard to find.

The road is narrow so if you are driving, don't think that you can just park up and take your time finding it.  Best approach either by walking, biking or running, but with a bit of strategic parking it is also possible to drive to it.
