This series contains 72 caches along an 11 mile stretch of the Pecatonica Prairie Pathway. You'll also encounter several other caches located along the way that have been around for a while not associated with this series.
This one fills a spot that was created when I archived a cache that was in the nearby park... hence the half number, as it fits between #42 and #43.
Stealth may be required at a few of the hides. I'm trying out a new kind of waterproof logsheet. Pencils won't write on it, but stampers, markers, and pens do. Let me know what you think of it!
You can download the pocket query for the entire trail here.
Most of the containers are whizbangs attached to the host by a ziptie, but there are a few exceptions where a different container was more suitable for the location.
Parking locations are somewhat spotty throughout the trail. There are 2 large parking lots along the trail, and several little pull-off areas as well. Click here for a list of parking coords.
The majority of this trial is made out of crushed rock (caches #1-#61) and is easy to travel on by bicycle. The trail for caches #62-72 is grass and dirt and is still easily traveled by bicycle. Dogs are allowed on the trail, but they must be on a leash. Please clean up after them! No motorized vehicles allowed! There isn't any fee to use the trail.
So, grab your GPS, air up the tires on your bike, and come out to hit the Whizbangs and Zipties cache trail... AGAIN!
