Geocache Description:

The Hendrix Creek Preserve (http://bit.ly/3aAGClN) is a nature preserve near the campus of Hendrix College with great walking trails and many natural beauties. So even though you are seeking a geocache, take time to see and enjoy the sights and sounds of your surroundings as you hunt.

Clark~Griswold once had some fine caches in this preserve, and this one is not far from where one of them used to be.

You will be looking for a bison tube hidden in a traditional way not far from a small knoll in a wooded area. It used to be atop the little hill, but extensive clearing of underbrush destroyed the original location and the container. You could encounter holes, roots, briars and rocks in the area, so be on the lookout for them.

Though this preserve abuts Interstate 40 on its east side, don't even think of approaching from there even though it may appear to be close on the map. There is no access, and the danger is great. There is ample parking close to the trailheads on the west side. Note also that the trail is open from dawn to dusk, so no night hunting.

Remember that this is Arkansas, and dangerous critters and plants of all sorts can be present at certain times of the year. So BE CAREFUL!

Put the container back just as you found it so it will be fun for others. And should you see any trash, take a moment to practice CITO.

If there are any problems with the cache, please let me know.
