“In a brazen day-time robbery, members of the notorious “Legends of Robbers Cave” gang stole 8 cache bags from the Central Oklahoma Geocachers during their annual Spring Fling event in the park earlier today.”
Witnesses say the robbers appeared in the distance riding up at a full gallop. As they approached the gathering of geocachers they came to a thunderous halt demanding the geocachers hand over the cache bags. Once they had the bags with its first-to-find bounty inside, they were quick to disappear to the south. It’s rumored that one of the gang was heard to say “if you’re around these parts for a day or two we may send word where we leave'em".
Update: September 19 early afternoon
Early this afternoon Spring Fling 2020 organizers received a message from the gang with coordinates where they claim the cache was hidden.
Local authorities are still searching for the robbers.
*** Out of respect for privacy, this cache is only available from dawn to dusk daily.
*** This cache is placed on leased property with owner permission. Permit on file at RCSP office. Along the path you'll see a covered wagon the RC Stables rents to visitors. Feel free to look from the path but please don't disturb the visitors.
