Before the holiday season begins in earnest and 2022 winds to a close, I would like to invite all of my fellow geocachers to get together to celebrate this activity that brings all of us together.

2022 has been a difficult year for me, but through it all, the wonderful sport/hobby/obsession of geocaching has helped me get through all of the challenges that life has dished out this year.

I am having a contest for anyone who cares to participate.  Before the event, please message or email me through geoaching.com with a short essay (yes, I'm serious) telling me what geocaching means to you, or how it has affected your life.  The winner of the contest will be chosen by me, and at this time I'm not sure exactly what criteria I will use to determine the winner, but there will be a prize for the winner of my choice.  I will share some (or all) of these essays at the event, so if you'd prefer that your entry remain anonymous, please indicate that to me at the beginning of your message/email, and I will respect your wishes.

***ANYONE may enter the contest, and the winner need not be present at the time of announcement of the winner (approximately 8:00 p.m.)  but must have attended and signed the log book at some time during the event.  All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, 11-16-22***

This venue is a full service restaurant and bar, and also offers an extensive variety of games that you may enjoy--

Billiards, ping pong, bocce, duckpin bowling, and an assortment of video and arcade games. (There is a fee for many of these games. See the venue's website for more information.)

No purchases are required to attend this event, and it is open to all.  If you've found 20,000 geocaches, you're invited!  If you've found 15 geocaches, you're invited!  If you've found 2,143 geocaches, you're invited!  If you've heard about geocaching and created an account on the site but haven't gone out to find a geocache yet, you're invited! 

We're a friendly and fun group.  Please come out to celebrate geocaching!
