Geocache Description:

Please, no spoilers in your logs.

Yoker.

An Anglicisation of the Gaelic "An Eochair" which translates to "Riverbank".

It's certainly an appropriate name as we start off near the North bank of the Clyde.

An industrial area of Glasgow, with a long history of shipbuilding at Yarrows (currently part of BAE Systems) and with prior interests in motor vehicles and tramcars. As you'll see to the west of where you stand, there has been recent housing development in the area and to the east, an ex-industrial site has now been demolished. So, we are here between the past and the present of Yoker.

No, I'm not Dickens and no, this is not a Christmas Carol.

The challenge these days seems to be to find information that is not available on StreetView, in order to keep caches challenging. I hope that the details I have sourced for this cache will keep this cache sufficiently challenging for now.

Ironwork. It's worth a try.

Let us work out the final location. We need A, B, C, D, E, F and G. ABC gives the distance. DEF.G gives us the bearing to the cache.

You'll see black railing along the edge of the pavement. The numbers on the bolts is F.F

Take a short walk to the car park for the flats to the west of your location. There's a short path that will take you there.

Find the first road gully in the car park. There are two sets of information on it, both of which start with a pair of letters.

From the long set:
A is the second number.
C is the sum of the first and third numbers.
D is the fourth number.
G is the number following G.

From the short set:
B is the last number.
E is the first number.

It's not far to the final. Have fun! Please, no spoilers in your logs.
