☠️DGS☠️ Crystal Views

Type:A bush bash along a saddle on the Paluma Range.
Task:Find the Ammo Can.
Gear:Long pants, strong legs and water.
The Area
Rising high above the coastal plains, cloaked in tropical rainforest and dissected by numerous streams, Mount Spec is the southernmost national park section in the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area.
Be Prepared!
This cache is not a park and grab, it will take you on a short but challenging 1km return bush bash along a saddle of the Paluma Range. Allow 1 hour to complete the walk and find the cache. There is NO trail so please use caution and minimise your impact. Make sure you inform someone of where you are going and bring water, sunscreen, a first aid kit and wear suitable clothing for the environment. Above all do not take unnecessary risks, leave that to the Dirtbags.
Lets Go Get Dirty 💩
Head up the Paluma Range towards the township via Mt Spec Road. 3km after passing Little Crystal Creek Bridge you will see a place to park on the right (See parking waypoint). There is no trail so just follow your GPS for 400m from here. You will be rewarded with an Ammo Can and a spectacular view. The hike is best done after the area has been burnt off in the cooler months of the year. Crystal Creek offers a number of swimming holes to cool off in after completion.
