This cache and another down in Grant Park was inspired by Kid's Critter Cache (GC12X0E) placed by my brother, Climber5.11.
The objectives of this cache shalt be two. No more. No less. Two shalt be the number of objectives and the number of objectives shalt be two. Three shalt not be, nor either shalt one, excepting that the objectives be two. (loose paraphrase of a Monty Python script)
1) Get the kids out of the house - Everyone has surely read about today's "childhood obesity epidemic" along with the oft repeated urban legend that this generation will be the first to not outlive their parents. Of course this is merely hypothesis as there is no scientific evidence to support this; one of the reasons being that members of this group have not reached the age where such data could be gathered. Whatever the physical fitness of today's generation might be, it still couldn't hurt to tear little Johnny and Jenny away from video games, the TV and other sedentary activities, and take them hiking to burn off some excess energy.
2) Inspire in your tiny cachers a love and respect for Mother Nature by providing as many opportunities as possible to experience the infinite variety of plants, animals, and beautiful scenery that comprise the Great Outdoors.
Halloween swag in this cache is free for the taking, no trade needed. You may also notice that this is a rare and coveted large cache which is valuable for certain size challenges. I won this beauty at the FTF on Feb 29? No, on Feb 30th (3-2) raffle, a generous donation by the duckelicious JSQuack.
Boo!! Come on up and get this bad boy!!
If you see these characters, run for your lives!!
