17 Oct Update: Changing start time to 1030.
The Navy tradition is that when the commanding officer of a ship arrives/departs each day, while in port, he/she is announced over a PA as Ship Name arriving or departing. When I was on the USS Ray SSN 653, the commanding officer would be announced as "Ray arriving" or "Ray departing." As a unauthorized tradition, when a crewmember would leave the submarine for the last time, the crewmember would on occassion grab the PA microphone called the 1MC and announce their name and departing. We will be leaving Fayetteville sometime this fall/winter as full time RVers, thus Bubblehead653 Departing.
We recently completed a three week RV trip to New England that started on the day after Labor Day. The trip took us through 9 states and DC, where I didn't have a cache, but do now, plus a few other states.
The Local Cafe is on the west side of the square at 113 Main Ave South in Fayetteville. There should be plenty of parking in front of The Local Cafe or across the street in the court house parking lot. It normally opens at 1030 on Saturday, but will open at 1000 for this event.
