In Sepember of 2017, I flew out west with FeatheredFriends, mnloon (both Pa and Ma) and the late CacheUMan. Our goal was to tackle 3 different power trails in Southern Nevada and Southern California. On the 2nd day at a cache near a cell tower, Can You Hear Me Now? Yes., PaLoon got into a fight with a cactus and when he returned to the vehicle, he had a piece of cactus attached to his elbow. It took pliers to remove the spurs. We joked about that for the next few days and then, 3 days later, we were taking a short break and Dave wandered off into a patch of the SAME type of cactus. MaLoon assured me that he had learned his lesson and everything would be OK. 5 minutes later, PaLoon returned to the vehicle with a piece of the SAME type cactus stuck in his hand... deeper than before. The pliers came in handy again. He claims the cactus attacked him so if you see a cactus in the wild.... RUN!!
